This is the thermostat extraction tool for all Proper Motor Cars from 1946 to 1965.  Original thermostats have two 3BA holes to pull from. Modern replacement thermostats lack lifting holes and are pulled from their bridge.  This tool includes provisions for both styles of thermostats.
The Factory Service Manual states that there were several cars equipped with thermostats threaded with 2BA holes.  The correct 2BA bolts can be supplied upon request if you know that you have this type of thermostat.
